GETAWAY

Launched in 2009 Getaway is a stylish, modern motor sailer that truly sets herself apart from other yachts of similar style with her large fly bridge, enormous open deck spaces and use of large windows and skylights. Getaway’s hull and superstructure are finished in Pearl White and she boasts beautifully varnished Sapelli gunwales and wide sheer strakes to add a touch of the classic in her overall appearance. She has a large superstructure which accommodates an airy, bright saloon. The philosophy used in the exterior & interior design of Getaway was oriented towards chartering. Flexibility was incorporated in the cabins to allow the twin beds to be joined together and become king size. Primarily light colours were used in the interior and the design and décor kept modern, minimalistic and spacious in order to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Large open outside spaces on main deck and fly bridge were important to enable guests to enjoy privacy throughout the yacht as well as ensuring that the yacht can host crowded cocktails and functions while safely moored in port. Equally important design factor to consider is the very comfortable crew mess and accommodation that can host up to 5 crew members. Getaway’s sail plan and deck layout were designed with a high level of cruising performance in mind whilst still ensuring that the yacht is simple, safe and easy to sail. If not in a rush to get to your final destination Getaway’s new age twin Cummins engines are very economical and can take her up to 8.5 knots while consuming in total 25 litres/hour, giving her a range of 1850 nautical miles.
