Serenity 86
About Serenity 86
Serenity 86 is a brand new avant-garde luxury gullet which
was only launched in April 2007. Serenity 86 has been developed
to provide the ultimate comfort and safety for its guests.
Designed and built to the latest Lloyd's classifications for
design, construction & onboard systems, it ensures maximum
safety for all onboard.
Serenity 86 has been created to blend the traditional beauty
of a Turkish gullet with contemporary design for a bright
and airy interior that holds a distinctly luxurious atmosphere.
Leather stools, fine Italian accessories, LCD screens, chrome
frames and opulent glass allow plenty of light inside and
add to the modern feeling.
Serenity 86 is unique in her beautiful and spacious design.
Setting the standard for luxury gullet sailing, she meets
every demand for comfort, class, and service.
Entry
The aft entrance to the yacht leads to a cozy seating area
which is used for al-fresco dining. The mahogany & anigre
dining table which comfortably seats eight is situated in
the centre. The aft lighting system which works on a dimmer
setting can be set to fit the mood of the guests on any given
evening. Entrance to the indoor living area is through the
center via sliding doors made entirely of glass and chrome
framing which allow plenty of light inside. The bar on the
port side as you enter sits three on leather stools. There
is a mini-bar located under the corian counter with space
to hold 120 soft drinks as well as 6 red and 12 white wines.
Facing the bar on the starboard side is the games table which
sits four. The helm station is located in the forward starboard
corner of the salon. Located at the forward section of the
salon on the port side is the interior dining table which
sits eight. A 32inch LCD screen HD television screen rises
out of the entertainment console which is located between
the games table and helm station, providing a comfortable
viewing angle for guests sitting at the bar and dining area.
.
Lower Deck Accommodation
As you walk down the central staircase to the lower deck,
the galley appears on the port side. The flooring of the galley
has been kept low in order to provide extra storage space
and allow for the large Amana fridge. The corridor is well
lit and displays poster size framed photos of the famous J-Class
Sailing Yachts. On the starboard side are two twin cabins.
There are two master cabins with queen size beds, one of them
located on the port side and the other in the forward. All
rooms are en-suite and have full individual air-conditioning
& heating, smoke detectors, HD televisions, DVD players, CD
players, Satellite TV,full length mirrors, vanity with make-up
mirrors, reading lights, and iPOD connection centers. The
bright and spacious theme is carried on through inside the
cabins which are tastefully decorated and provide the utmost
comfort and luxury. Main lighting throughout Serenity 86,
including all the lighting in all the rooms makes use of spot
lights located on the roof.
Engine room and electronics
The engine room is located in the aft and is very well
insulated to reduce engine noise around the yacht while traveling
and when the generator is in operation. The yacht is powered
by two Scania 320hp engines which provide powerful thrust
and easy maneuverability. Maneuverability of Serenity 86 is
enhanced even further with a bow truster. Engine room is sealed
off with a water tight door and the inside is protected against
fire by a smoke detection and sprinkler system. A separate
ventilated room has been dedicated to the electrical switches
and controls that run the main systems onboard.
Flybridge
A unique feature of Serenity 86 in comparison to other
gullets is its spacious fly-bridge which encompasses a secondary
fully operational helm station with all the necessary navigation
equipment. The fly-bridge has been extended to allow a larger
seating area with two tables and a sunbathing platform wide
enough for three guests. There is also a mini-fridge, electric
grill, and speakers which are connected to the main entertainment
console on the main deck. Guests may go up to the fly-bridge
using the staircase located in the aft seating area. Enjoying
a quiet romantic meal under moonlight in a secluded bay or
ice cold champagne during sunset with the great panorama of
the serene natural surroundings is an experience that will
be hard to erase from your memory.
Onboard Ammenities
If you make your way forward on the main deck you will
be amazed at the immense size of the teak deck sun tanning
area with a total of eight sun tanning mattresses. Here guests
have the option of making use of the portable speakers located
onboard to listen to music as they lie down and sunbathe.
The crew can also open the tent which is mounted onto the
main mast if you prefer to spend your time in the shade. The
triangular construction of the pulpit allows guests to stand
at the most forward point of Serenity 86 and enjoy cruising
with waves splashing underneath their feet. It is a great
spot to grab when dolphins visit the bow on occasion. Amenities
onboard include daily linen and towel change, free internet
access, satellite TV, HD televisions/DVD players/CD players/iPOD
centers/air-conditioning in all the rooms and salon, board
games and card games, kayaks, waterskiing, wakeboarding, monoskiing,
